A tabletop sculpture, carved by hand from local poplar in the form of a vertical bowl.

A bowl-form sculpture that invokes the safe feeling of capturing, holding, and releasing.

The freshly-cut poplar wood used in this sculpture was salvaged from a storm-felled tree on our property in Downeast Maine. The wood was carved using only handtools while green. We have left some of the color variations and textures that naturally occured on the surface of the wood, and responded with added textures and shapes of our own. The surface has been left unfinished.

12 1/2" tall by 6" wide by 3" deep.

You will receive the exact sculpture as in the photos above.
